Lillian was born August 18, 1962 in Columbus, Georgia; Beth fought a courageous battle against ovarian cancer for 7 years, demonstrating the strength and resilience that characterized her life.

Beth was an alumna of Jordan Vocational High School, graduating in 1980. She went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Columbus College in 1984. During this time, she worked at Hamilton Road BBQ, where she met the love of her life, Kevin.

As a dedicated professional, Beth began her career at CB&T in 1983. She later transitioned to Synovus Securities, Inc., where she served as the Senior Vice President and Director of Compliance before retiring. Beth dedicated 38 years of her life to the brokerage and investment advisory industry while establishing lifelong friendships. Her diligent work ethic, selflessness, and willingness to “go the extra mile,” and courage impressed colleagues and inspired her daughters.

Beth had a deep love for her family and enjoyed nothing more than hosting gatherings, dinners, and holidays at her home. Her devotion to her family was captured in the warm and loving environment she created, where everyone felt welcomed. She also cherished precious moments reading a good book and indulging in her love for cruises and vacations spent on Cape San Blas with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.

Beth was filled with a quiet faith and loved the Lord. It brings her family comfort to know she is resting in the arms of Jesus and her beloved Aunt Epsie. Beth will be fondly remembered as a loving, selfless, and courageous woman who unconditionally loved her family. Her legacy will live on through the hearts and memories of those who loved her. As we pay our final respects, let us honor Beth's life by remembering her infectious spirit, her kindness, and the courage she demonstrated in her life's journey. Her light will continue to shine in our hearts forever, and her life will be celebrated every single day. Lillian Elizabeth "Beth" Burns will be profoundly missed, though her love and influence will continue to guide those she left behind.

Loved by many, her surviving family members include her mother, Barbara Fay Underwood Cook of Columbus, GA, her devoted husband of nearly 38 years, Kevin Burns of Cataula, GA, her beloved daughters, Kristen Davis (John) of Cataula, GA and Callie Burns of Columbus, GA.
