Lillian H. Bricker, 84, of Cataula, GA went to be with the Lord Saturday evening, March 30, 2013, at her home.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend William McCluskey officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, April 1, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Lillian Bricker was born Lillian Marie Herring on January 7, 1929 in Columbus, GA. She was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Herring and Walter Herring. She worked at Ft. Benning for several years until she married. She was a Sunday School teacher and a member of Beallwood Church of God under Sis Martha Woodard. She retired from Sandman Sanitation.
She is preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband of 67 years, Reverend Wendell C. Bricker. They travelled the country singing and preaching God's word for many years. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Davis, Francis Greer and Ruth Gotta and her brothers, Walter Herring, Jr. and James Herring.
Survivors include her son, Wendell R. Bricker (Starr) of Columbus, GA; daughters, Sharon B. McCluskey (Carl) of Cataula, GA and Debra L. Price (Cleve) of Ft. Payne, AL; grandchildren, Sheryl L. Veal (Michael), Kaysie A. Price all of Ft. Payne, AL and Joshua C. Bricker of Columbus, GA; great grandchildren, Haylee S. Veal and Haylin M. Veal both of Ft. Payne, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those who wish may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 5900 River Rd., Suite 301, Columbus, GA 31904.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at hospice care for their dedication and care of our mother.
