Liba Mae Caldwell, 87 of Columbus, GA died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Canterbury Health Facility in Phenix City.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA with Rev. David Cox.
A private interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Caldwell was born August 9, 1925 in Buena Vista, Georgia daughter of the late Fred Duncan and Everlu Blakely Fuller. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was an Emeritus Member of the Ft. Benning Chapter 278 of OES.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C. G. Caldwell, Sr..
Survivors include her daughter Lavada Caldwell-Smith; son, Clifford Grogan Caldwell (Misty); grandsons, Steven E. Smyth, Jr. (Beverly) and Jacob K. Caldwell all of Columbus, GA.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimerâ
