Lesley Jean Maxwell

Lesley Jean Maxwell, 58, of Columbus, GA died Monday, October 18, 2021 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, October 23, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Alton “Clyde”  Brundage officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Lesley was born November 12, 1962 in Manchester, England to Jean Howell Bertenshaw and the late Derek Bertenshaw. She loved to bake and cook for her family and watching TV with her husband, Max. Her favorite place in the world was the beach and she also loved spending time by the pool. Family was very important to Lesley and she made it a point to spend as much time with them as possible, especially with her only grandchild, Jackson.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Vaughn “Max” Maxwell of Columbus, GA, children, Kyle Derek Maxwell and Ashton Leigh Massey (Hunter Ray) of Columbus, GA, Tanner Eugene “Bob” Maxwell (Cassandra Marie) of Lawton, OK, grandson, Jackson Derek Maxwell, mother Jean Howell Bertenshaw, sister, Gillian Mary Carbone (Tony), nephews, Brady Antonio Carbone and Liam Joseph Carbone all of Midland, GA and a host of other family and friends.
