Leron Franklin Sellars, 76, of Columbus, GA died Friday, May 4, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Edgewood United Methodist Church 3969 Edgewood Circle Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Roy White officiating. Interment with Navy Honors will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday afternoon at Preston Cemetery in Preston, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Sellars was born September 4, 1935 in Ashburn, GA to the late Walter Alston Sellars and Annie Mae Stewart Sellars. He is married to Helen Matthews Sellars originally from Preston, GA. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy, serving 18 months in Viet Nam and many other ships and bases.
