Leonard A. D'Orlando, 89, of Cataula, GA died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Scott Winchel officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 till 8 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Orlando was born June 6, 1920 in Revere, MA son of the late Rose SanFlippo D'Orlando and Leonard D'Orlando. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served during WWII. He was the owner of Tapes and Things. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven D'Orlando.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Janice D'Orlando of Cataula, GA, daughters, Sharyn Pellegrini and husband, Bill and Valerie Smith and husband, Tom all of Columbus, GA, son, Leonard D'Orlando and wife, Laura of Woodstock, GA, seven granchildren, Billy, Jill, Ryan, Brandon, Lenny, Alex, and Natalie.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
