Leo T. Greene, 87, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 1232 Double Churches Rd. Columbus, GA 31904 with Rev. Tom Neville officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Greene was born November 12, 1929 in Columbus, GA son of the late Prince and Mary Hunt Greene. He retired after working 45 years in the Machine Shop from Lummus Industries. He loved to camp and watch TV.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Driggers.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Emily Claire Greene of Columbus, GA, daughter, Vickie Fowler (Gene) of Eufaula, AL, sister, Betty Medlock, brothers, Charles Greene (Macie) and Richard Greene (Valerie) all of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Jeff Willis (Kim), Christy Wilkes (Andy), Karen Britton (Norman) and Bethany Dela Cruz (Javier), 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
