Leland A. Davis, 95, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with a Military Chaplain officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM before the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery with Military Honors following the service.
Leland was born May 19, 1926 in Ellijay, GA to the late Ralph and Willa Anderson Davis. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a SGT 1ST Class. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Margot Gunter Davis.
He is survived by his children; Arleen Klevan (David) of Thompsons Station, TN, Loraine Lester (Jim) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren; Andrea Hilderbrand (Chad) of Franklin, TN, Natalie Laney (Andrew) of College Grove, TN, Jessica Battle (Robert) of Columbus, GA, Jennifer Lester of Atlanta, GA, great-grandchildren; Grayson Hilderbrand of Frankiln, TN, Caroline Hilderbrand of Franklin, TN, Bryson Laney of College Grove, TN, Davis Laney of College Grove, TN, Dalton Laney of College Grove, TN, siblings; Janet McClure of Marietta, GA, Oleta Withrow (J.T.) Ellijay, GA, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
