Leevon Bolin Sparks

Leevon Bolin Sparks, 79, of Columbus, GA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Jay Bailey officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sparks was born August 5, 1939 in Geneva County, AL, daughter of the late Green Beecham Bolin and Ruby Voncille Jowers Bolin. She was a charter member of Solid Rock Assembly of God, where she had served in the choir and the nursery. She loved people and never met a stranger. She was a homemaker loved to play bingo, bowl and read. Mrs. Sparks was affectionately known as "Grammy".
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip L. Sparks, siblings, Jerry L. Bolin and Linda Anne Bolin, and grandchild, Dillon Sparks.
Survivors include her children, Mark Sparks (Cathy) of Tampa, FL, Mike Sparks (Sandy) of Warren, MI and Sandi Carter (Marty) of Cincinnati, OH, siblings, Jan Day (Ned) of Smiths Station, AL, Wendell Bolin of Waverly Hall, GA, Ronnie Bolin of Waverly Hall, GA, Roger Bolin (Rhonda) of Columbus, GA, Marsh Bolin (Gwen) of Columbus, GA and Joe Bolin of Meansville, GA, and 4 grandchildren, Alexis Carter Ellison (Josh), Nickolas Carter, Jenna Sparks and Gabby Sparks.
