Laura Jeanette Buchanan 82, of Columbus, Ga. died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert S. Goodman officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Buchanan was born December 07, 1931 in Pike County, Alabama daughter of the late James Ray and Lula Parks King. She retired after 30 years as a Assistant Manager with BellSouth and was a member of Summerville Baptist Church. She was the widow of Aubrey William "Bill" Buchanan.
Survivors include one daughter; Dolores Haynie (Wayne) of Fulshear, Tx., two sons; Edward Sanders (Marsha) of Cottonton, Al., Phil Sanders of Americus, Ga., two sisters Ouida Baker (James) and Elizabeth King Burke (John) one brother Charles King (Gerelda) all of Phenix City, Al. 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
