Larry L. Scruggs, 66 of Columbus, GA died Friday, February 10, 2012 at his home.
A memorial service will be held 4:30 P.M., Monday, February 13, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends at 4:00 P. M., Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mr. Scruggs was born October 17, 1946 in Bessemer, AL son of the late Lawrence Scruggs and Willie M. Scruggs-Brown. He was an insurance adjustor for Liberty Mutual Ins.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Scruggs of Columbus, GA; son, Joseph A. (Jennifer) of Columbus, GA; daughter, Janet R. (David) of Mobile, AL and Ashley (Jeff) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Nicholas Scruggs (Renee), Samantha S. Christmas (Kyle), Cody Scruggs and Jaide White; great grandchildren, Kolbee Christmas and Savanna Scruggs; brothers, John L. Scruggs of Birmingham, AL, Dr. Ray Ireland (Linda); brother-in-law, David Walls (Carol); and many special friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to American Heart Associations, 1639 Bradley Park Dr. Suite 500, Columbus, GA 31904 or Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
