Larry Eugene Ready, 72, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, August 06, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Monday, August 10, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Smith and Dr. Don Wilhite officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. Seating will be limited and doors will be closed when we reach capacity. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, those attending the service will be required to wear a face mask and social distancing will be in effect. Larry Ready was born October 03, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Archie L. Ready and Jean Helms Ready. Larry was a Minister for 16 years at Bland Memorial Baptist and a Maintenance Superintendent for 20 years at Calvary Christian School. He loved preaching Gods word to everyone, he loved helping people but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Larry was also known as "Mr. Fix It".
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Darlene Ready of Midland, GA, son, Ronnie Ready (Gretchen) of Loganville, GA, daughter, Rebekah White (Chris) of Pine Mountain, GA, brother, Don Ready (Monica) of Bayreuth, Germany, sister, Pat Gates (Roger) of Arizona, Gail Erickson (Craig) Snohomish, WA, grandchildren, Lauren, Abi, Emily, Carson, Chloe, Keegan, Aiden, Remi, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Calvary Christian School in memory of Mr. Larry (Ready) at 7556 Old Moon Rd, Columbus, GA 31909.
