Larry Lynn Langston Jr., widely and affectionately known as Ace, passed away in his home Friday, December 3rd after battling an extended illness. He was 53.
Larry was born in 1968 in Athens, Ga and raised by his loving parents Connie and Joe. He was a "military brat" and moved often in his younger years, living in Georgia, Texas, and even Germany for a time before settling in the Columbus/Phenix City area to raise a family of his own. He went on to have 3 children and worked tirelessly to provide for them. He was a warehouse manager for nearly 30 years and was currently employed with Atlanta Flooring Company.
Larry enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to 80's hair metal and classic rock, attending concerts, watching TV shows and movies, and riding his motorcycle. He loved his country and was proud to run several websites over the years dedicated to his political views. He was a loving father and grandfather that treasured spending time with his family.
Larry is survived by his parents, Connie and Joe Bryant; His eldest daughter, Courtney DeVera and husband Jay; His second daughter, Amber Coley; His only son, Wyatt Langston and fiance' Amanda; His 4 grandchildren, Anderson & Penelope DeVera and Lincoln & Gryffin Coley; His brother, Herbert Langston; nieces and nephew, Burgandy, Lindsey, and Matthew; many friends; his dog Buddy; and his cat Skillet, who was with him in his last moments, never leaving his side.
He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Redding Coley.
Private funeral services will be held at McMullen's Funeral Home with his interment to follow in the Mausoleum at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Ga.
