Larry "Buddy" Hardcastle

Larry "Buddy" Hardcastle, Sr. 78 of Columbus, Ga. died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Hawkins officiating. A private entombment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hardcastle was born February 24, 1935 in Gideon, Missouri son of the late Grover Cleveland and Vellar Hensley Hardcastle. He retired as a 1SGT after 27 years in the U. S. Army and was a Korean and Vietnam Veteran. He later worked for MWR as a printer and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
His daughter Sylvia Fraser, his son Larry Hardcastle, Jr., his grandson Noah Ledbetter, three sisters and four brothers, precedes Mr. Hardcastle in death.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Maria F. Hardcastle, three daughters; Julie McDonald (Bill), Charlotte Jackson (Jerry) and Carolyn Shelton all of Columbus, Ga., one sister; Nora Sue Reddy, one brother; George Allen Hardcastle, 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchild.
