Kyong Ae Vigil passed away on August 30, 2024, in Kennesaw, Georgia. Born in South Korea on June 8, 1949, Kyong Ae's journey was marked by her unwavering strength and profound wisdom, which touched the lives of everyone around her.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Ft. Moore Main Post Cemetery at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Kyong Ae's story began in the vibrant landscapes of South Korea, where her spirit of resilience and nurturing heart were first cultivated. Her voyage led her to the United States, where she would eventually lay down roots and build a life rich in love and legacy. Kyong Ae's role as a devoted wife was reflected in her cherished marriage to SGM Michael Vigil, who predeceased her, leaving behind memories from their shared life.

She was a guiding light to her children, Elaine Montgomery and her husband Robert, Michael Vigil and his wife Karina, David Vigil and his wife Maria, and Kathy Wilson and her husband Scottie. She will be deeply missed by her twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.

Kyong Ae's life was a celebration of simple pleasures. She found peace in her garden, where she nurtured plants with the same tender care she bestowed upon her family. Her cooking brought warmth to many tables, and her recipes will remain a cherished heirloom.
