Kleber M. O'Neal, Jr., 70, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Bill Douglas officiating. Entombment will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, December 17, 2018 at Mobile Memorial Gardens in Mobile, AL. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. O'Neal was born April 18, 1948 in Huntsville, AL son of the late Kleber M. O'Neal, Sr. and Winifred Rowell O'Neal. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Vietnam War and retired as a Specialist from Georgia Power after over 20 years. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and loved watching Alabama football running marathons, reading military history and spending time with his family. Mr. O'Neal was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Alicia Jernigan O'Neal of Columbus, GA, children, Michael Kleber O'Neal of Columbus, GA, William Patrick O'Neal of Atlanta, GA, Lindsay Nicole Wagner (Bradley) of Slidell, LA and Christopher Eric Maier (Vicki) of St. Petersburg, FL, sister, Clare O'Neal (William Rinehart) of Mandeville, LA, brother, William Rowell O'Neal (Chris) of Mobile, AL, 5 grandchildren, Irene Jade O'Neal of Orlando, FL, Alice Olivia Maier, Aiden James Maier both of St. Petersburg, FL, Bradley Gerard Wagner, III and McKenzie Lynn Wagner both of Sydell, LA.
