The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Kimberly was born July 27, 1956 in Greenville, OH daughter of the late Everett Wion and Donna Carine Wion. She graduated from Tippecanoe High School and moved to Georgia in 1978, where she has lived ever since. In 1994, she earned an AA in Music Education from Darton College in Albany, GA.
She enjoyed many hobbies and interests that led to a life full of opportunities to build many strong friendships in different settings and industries. Her sense of humor and laugh was magnetic, which helped her find and marry the love of her life, Billy Clifton St. Clair while working at the Albany Herald in Albany, GA. They built a life together while also building several businesses, and her creativity and success continually developed in whatever role she took on.
As a lifelong Catholic, Kimberly served as lector since 1975. Most recently, she volunteered with the Columbus Figure Skating Association, serving as a certified instructor. One of her favorite hobbies included dinner and dancing with her husband each month as part of the Mr. & Mrs. Club in Columbus. From playing the flute, performing musical theatre and competing in figure skating, to sewing, crafting, and cooking, Kimberly enjoyed life to the fullest and was certainly never bored.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Rose Wion, her sister Rebecca Wion Ellis, and her brother Jeffrey Wion.
Kimberly is survived by her husband of 21 years, Billy Clifton St. Clair, Sr., children Andy (Pam) Heidt of Cambridge, UK and Caroline (Tyler) Baughman of Helena, MT, stepchildren Bo (Debbie) St. Clair of Columbus, GA and D'Anna (Sean) Smith of Cataula, GA, and six grandchildren whom she loved very much. She is also survived by her sister, Kelly Monce, her aunt and godmother, Katie (Jerry) Bazill, and her cousin and close friend, Judy Canaan, along with many other beloved step siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mukesh Kumar MD, Kimberly Carroll, RN, and all the staff with the John B Amos Cancer Center, and the caregivers at the Piedmont Columbus Regional.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation to support the efforts John B. Amos Cancer Center.
