Kenneth Rickey "Pops" Swain, 64, Phenix City, AL died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services with Military honors will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Swain was born October 10, 1948 in Columbus, GA son of the late James Wyatt and Jean Swain Norman Douberly. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a salesman for Clayton Homes. He was the Chapter President of the Iron Order MC Ft. Mitchell River Rats Crew and also a member of Ft. Mitchell Chapter of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis M. Swain of Phenix City, AL; son, Kenneth Rickey Swain, II and wife Charlene of Franklin, TN; grandsons, Brian Swain and Sean Swain both of Franklin, TN; step grandchildren, Kimberly Langfitt and Austin Langfitt both of Columbus, GA and Terry Langfitt and wife Ashleigh of Augusta, GA; sister, Debi Norman Johnston and husband Johnny of Clayton, GA and several nieces and nephews.
