Keith Farrell Lumsden

Keith Farrell Lumsden, age 63, of Midland, Georgia, died Friday, February 18, 2022 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital after a brave and tough battle with cancer.
Keith was born on March 14, 1958 in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Cornelius Lumsden and Gussie “Jo” Whidden Lumsden. He graduated from Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Georgia, and from the University of Georgia in 1983. Keith was an accomplished engineer who worked for Georgia Power for 44 years. Whenever a storm was on its way, Keith selflessly left his family to help restore power in dangerous conditions, all to keep his community safe. Keith was an exceptional husband and father who loved his family more than anything.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Jody George Lumsden; two daughters, Rachel (Clinton) and Julie; three siblings, Neal, Katri (Scott), and Scott; grandson, Caleb; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory located at 3874 Gentian Boulevard, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A brief visitation will follow at the funeral home.
