Katy Isabelle Exley Diamond, 87, a resident of Columbus and Tybee Island, GA died Monday, April 4, 2016 at St Francis Hospital in Columbus.

Visitation will be with Fox and Weeks Funeral Islands Chapel, 4605 US Highway 80E, Savannah, GA 31405, on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Columbus according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Katy Diamond was born on September 27, 1927 in Egypt, GA where she spent her childhood. She moved to Savannah and later married Isadore (Jack) Diamond in March 1952. They moved to Tybee Island where they lived for 55 years. Katy was a long time employee of T. S Chu Department Store at Tybee.

Katy's family whose death preceded hers included her husband Jack, son Donald Diamond, brother Harley Exley, and sister Mariam Thompson and parents Harley and Inez Usher Exley.
After her husband's death in 2008, Katy relocated to Columbus to be with her daughter, Sherry, and granddaughter, Katherine, and their families. She lived in Covenant Woods and had many adventures and good times with her friends there.

Katy will be missed by her family and friends. Her family includes her daughter, Sherry (Jim) Brinson of Columbus), her son Robert (Shirley) Bunger of Midway, GA), four grandchildren Katherine (Brian) Robinson of Columbus, Christopher (Danielle) Brinson of New Orleans, dawn Holmes of Midway, Jim Bunger, Texas, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the Family request donations to Katy's favorite charity - St Anne Community Outreach Center, 1820 Box Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
