Kathy Dozier, 63, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday May 7, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Hank Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 38747 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Kathy was born October 28, 1958 in Columbus, GA to the late William Earl Baker and Margaret Singleton. She worked at Waffle House for 18 years as a waitress and at Evelyn’s Cafe for 15 years. She loved to read, loved to solve cryptograms, going to yard sales, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Baker and Margaret Singleton, brother, John Albert Baker.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Denton Dozier, Sr. of Columbus, GA, daughter, Devon Dozier of Columbus, GA, son, Denton Dozier, Jr. (Tiffany) of Dothan, AL, sister, Glenda Turner (Harry) of Columbus, GA, brother, Walter Baker of Columbus, GA, David Baker of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Kayla Gordon (Matthew), Kobe Dozier , Jacob Dozier , Jayda Dozier , Caleb Dozier , Stella Dozier, nieces, Brenda Lynn Davis of Columbus, GA and her daughter, Chancey McGhee, Christy Baker of Opelika, AL, nephew, Kenny Davis (Brenda) of Columbus, GA and their children, Amanda Davis, Brittany Bonner and numerous, other family members.
