Kathryn Cobb Neaves Reid 96 of Columbus died Monday, March 09, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Beallwood Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Reid was born October 25, 1918 in Webster County, Georgia daughter of the late Frank Floyd and Kate Gunnels Cobb. She was a retired Agent for Spencer-McDaniel Insurance Company a member of Beallwood Baptist Church, Columbus Business and Professional Women's Club and the Insurance Women of Columbus.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her husband's Rev. Jimmy Neaves and Artense Reid, grandson Jimmy Neaves, three sisters, Myrtle Gilmer, Janie Matheson, Bessie Shirey, three brothers, Frank F. Cobb, Jr., Tillman Cobb, Oliver Cobb, stepchildren, Bertie Reid Davis and Donald Earl Reid.
Survivors include her children; Becky Neaves Forsyth and Rachel Neaves Butts and her husband Windell all of Panama City, Fl., James Clark Neaves, Jr. and his wife IIona of Midland, Ga., Ruth Neaves Dansby and her husband Rodger of Cataula, Ga., Patsy Neaves Mason and Rae Reid Taylor both of Columbus, Ga. 15 Grandchildren; Ken Forsyth, Nick Forsyth (Jessica), Joni Butts Cauthen, Jody Butts Sellers, Michael Butts, Brent Neaves (Bianca), Dan Dansby (Teri), Brian Dansby (Jackie), David Dansby (Amy), Charles Mason, Rudy and Randy Taylor, Lynn Evans, Denise Myers and Dennis Reid. 35 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren and other nieces and nephews.
