Kathryn Faye Lockhart Kelley, 81, of Fortson, GA died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 13, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Udell Addison and Chaplain Vern Jordin officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Wes Kelley, Drew Kelley, Ty Kelley, Zachary Laughlin, Blake Laughlin, Will Holland, and Travis Alston. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Kelley was born June 19, 1930 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Lewis Lemuil and Minnie Ollie Pollard Lockhart. She retired after 30 years as an audit clerk for the Medical Center and continued working at Oak/Pine Manor Nursing Homes after retirement. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Kelley was a great dancer and enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, and collecting antiques. She enjoyed going on trips and spending time with her family and friends.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Kelley, Jr. and sisters, Edna C. Grier and Mary L. Blevins.
Survivors include her daughters, Delores F. Dennis (Tommy) of Hamilton, GA, Donna M. Kelley of Columbus, GA and Gerry Lynn Laughlin (Terry) of Fortson, GA, sons, Reggie A. Kelley (Beth) of Columbus, GA and Bruce S. Kelley (Pat) of Midland, GA, sister, Nancy E. Massey of East Bank, W. VA, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
