Kathleen Karen (Kristol) Rigsby
January 12, 1948 — February 6, 2022
Kathleen Karen Rigsby, 74, of Columbus, GA went to be with Jesus February 6, 2022 holding hands with her beloved husband and son. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Kathy was born January 12, 1948 in Vienna, Austria to the late Antoine and Stephanie Kristol. Kathy was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church, where she was an active member of WMU. In her free time, she loved to knit blankets, talk on the phone, and communicate with family and friends on her tablet. In her earlier years she and Otis loved to travel and go camping. She had a great sense of humor and was a loving friend. She was a graduate of Jordan High School. Kathy was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother (Nana).
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Otis Raymond Rigsby; son Rev. Travis A. Rigsby; daughter in law Quincy Rigsby; grandsons Alex and Andrew Rigsby – all of Columbus, Georgia; siblings, Joanna Kristol Hornaday (Bob) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Tony Kristol of California; several nieces and nephews.
