Katherina Renee Miller, 19, of Columbus, GA passed away due to
complications of gastric bypass surgery Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Rev. William J. Flippin
officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Katherina was born on July 29, 1990 in Ft. Benning, GA, the daughter of Renee Miller (Dale Smith) of Columbus, GA and John E. Miller, Jr. (Terry Lea) of Pittsview, AL. She attended Columbus Technical College as a Criminal Justice major. She was preceded in death by her paternal
grandparents, John and Mary Miller and maternal grandfather, Joe T.
Lawton.
Other than her parents, survivors include her brother, Joshua Lawton
of Atlanta, GA, step-brother Andrew Smith of Atlanta, GA, maternal grandmother, Margrit Lawton of Columbus, GA, uncles, Raymond Lawton (Vicki) of Macon, GA and Ronald Lawton (Kathy) of Oklahoma City, OK, and many other family members and friends.
Flowers are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, people may make memorial
contributions to the Muscogee County Humane Society.
