Katharine MacKaline, 97, Columbus, GA, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at her residence.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Rev. Eric Estes officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. MacKaline was born February 12, 1917 in Koln, Germany, daughter of the late Anton and Katharine Korfgen. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Armour Road and was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander MacKaline.
Survivors include her son, Charles MacKaline of Concord, N.C.; and granddaughter, Carolyn Alexandria Youngs of Denver, CO.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer Building Fund, 4700 Armour Road Columbus, GA 31904.
