Katharina Schneider Freeland, 91, of Columbus, GA died Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Ingo Horton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Freeland was born September 29, 1925 in Kempten, Germany, daughter of the late Kandidus Schneider and Anna Eckerl Schneider. She was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by Jakob Schneider, Annie Reichle, Kandidus Schneider and Hansel Schneider.
Survivors include her husband, Noah Freeland of Columbus, GA; daughter, Scenia Ita of Columbus, GA; son, James Freeland of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Caleb Freeland of Jasper, GA and Chelsea Freeland of Canton, GA; nieces and nephews, Heidrun Horton of Lawrenceville, GA, Ivo Milot (Kristopher Paul Sanders) of Forsythe, GA, Ingo Horton (Kim) of Stockbridge, GA, Renate Sullivan (LeRoy), Willmington, NC, Danielle Marzahl (Jim), Michael Marzahl both of Locus Grove, GA, Jennifer Hindelang, Dylan and Jacqueline Hindelang all of Germany and other beloved nieces and nephews in Germany.
