Karen Elizabeth Pollock Mckeel

Karen Elizabeth Pollock McKeel, 63, of Box Springs, GA died September 4, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday September 8, 2023 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA with Rev. Ward Jordan officiating. A Visitation will be held 9:30-10:30 AM Friday, September 8, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Karen was born July 27, 1960 to Gayle Hodges Pollock and the late J. Ashley Pollock. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from Columbus Regional Healthcare. She loved the beach, gardening, shooting, fishing, the woods and sitting on her porch drinking coffee and watching the wildlife.  She treasured her family, friends and her four granddaughters. Other than her father, she is preceded in death by her son, Steven Charles McKeel.

Survivors other than her mother, include her husband of 45 years, John Charles (Chuck) McKeel Jr. of Box Springs, GA, daughter, Jennifer McKeel Owens of Box Springs, GA, sisters, Sandy Pollock Marquez of Columbus, GA, and Ashley Pollock Barhoumi (Chaker) of Columbus, GA, mother-in-law, Kitty McKeel of Columbus, GA, sisters-in-law Melonie Bailey (Donnie) of Waverly Hall, GA , and Kitty Joandra McKelvey (Richard) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Katelyn McKeel, Kyndal McKeel, Mallory Owens, and Rebekah Stubbs, daughter-in-law, Kristin McKeel of Weston, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
