Karen Lee Braden, 60, of Phenix City, AL died Friday, December 20, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Braden was born February 21, 1953 in El Paso, TX, daughter of the late John K. Langford and Rinabetty Boresma England. She was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Martin Army and other hospitals.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, David L. Braden of Phenix City, AL; daughter, Brooke Braden of Columbus, GA; sons, Jason Goforth of New Lebanon, OH and SGT. Jonathan Braden of Clarksville, TN; sisters, Sandy Markus (Brian) of Waupun, WI, Terry Pearson of Fond Du Lac, WI, and Kimberly Watson of El Paso, TX; brothers, Johnny Langford (Francis) of Mooresville, NC and Ken Langford (Yong Su) of Copperas Cove, TX; and grandchildren, Michael Goforth, Leanna Goforth, Kayla Goforth, Sebastin and Kadence, Karen Braden and Brenna Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
