Justine H. Cotton, 77, of Cataula, GA died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2012 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Dan MacMinn officiating.
Mrs. Cotton was born July 30, 1934 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Leslie P. and Lillian Cotton Herring. She retired after 25 years as a bookkeeper for Burnham Van Lines and later worked as a people greeter at Walmart. She attended Glen Anthony and Beallwood Baptist Churches.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Cotton, Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Edward Cotton, Jr. of Columbus, GA and Skeeter Cotton (Denise) of Fortson, GA, loving daughter and best friend Pamela Cotton Wynn (Cullen) of Cataula, GA, six grandchildren, Leslie Mikelle Martin, Deanna Cotton Miller, Edward Keith Cotton, Vanessa Griggs, Kristy Miller and Marti Owens and six great grandchildren, Jordan Martin, Tanner Martin, Slade Miller, Ansley Rose Miller, Kayelee and Emily, many, many cousins and nieces, and many special friends, too many to name them all.
A very special thanks to her loving and dedicated friends, Doreen Snavely, Julia Rasch, Brenda Hutchinson, Lynn Martin, and Kathleen Walls who dedicated their love to caring for her in her lifetime. To know her was to love her. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone and she never met a stranger. She was a dedicated Braves Fan to the end.
