Justin S. Bates a.k.a. Richard Paul Rios "Dickie", 77, of Midland, GA died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2018 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Justin was born February 11, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA son of the late Tomas Rios and Louica Reyes Rios. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and attended St. Anne Catholic Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Maryann Madrid and Mary Louise Gonzale.
Survivors include his children, Flora Martinez (Larry) and Jennifer Mitchell (Danny, II), Kevin Rios (Pam) and Heidi Rios, step-daughter, Sarah Williams, step-son, Cody Williams, brothers, Robert Rios (Lorraine) and Thomas Rios (Jean), 13 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
