June Dowling Bailey, 81, of Dothan, AL passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL surrounded by her loving husband, Jim Bailey, and family.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM EST Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
June was born to the late Bessie Bloodworth Dowling and Charlie Mack Dowling. She worked as a Data Entry Verifier for Wright Construction. She leaves her legacy and loving memory to be cherished by her spouse, her brothers, and their families, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Bailey, infant daughter, Sherrill, grandson, Josh Bailey, brothers, Earl Dowling (Ruth), Edward "Ted" Dowling, Hugh Dowling, and Doug Dowling (Nell).
Survivors include her children, Richard Guest (Debbie) of Dothan, AL, James Steven Guest (Sherry) and Jamie Cook (Philip), sisters-in-law, Betty Dowling and Bess Dowling all of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Harrison Guest, Michael Darnell (Jennifer), Matthew Darnell (Emily) all of Dothan, AL, Lori Guest Hale (Jeremy), Kelli Leanne Guest of Columbus, GA, Hannah Cook Ison (Matt), Trey Cook all of Columbus, GA, Randa Bailey of North Carolina and April Bailey Maddox of Winder, GA, and great grandchildren, Catie Darnell, Luke Darnell, Cameron Darnell all of Dothan, AL, Carter Hale, Larsen Hale, Kylie Ison all of Columbus, GA, Tyler Rockmart, Jacob Rockmart both of North Carolina, and Logan and Caleb Maddox of Winder, GA.
