Julie Ann Schoenbeck-Krauel, 45, of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Billy Shorey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Julie Ann Schoenbeck-Krauel was born on July 20, 1970 in Whittier, California to Henry August Schoenbeck III and Mary Schoenbeck. They resided in their quaint little home in La Pointe California. She later moved to Chino Hills California and attended St. Margrets from the 1st to the 8th grade. Then onto Pomona Catholic where she enjoyed being a flag girl. She graduated high school at Don Lugo in 1988. Julie enjoyed crafts, writing beautiful cards to loved ones of encouragement, collecting spoons from all the places she traveled too and decorative wall art. She loved her family and friends very much and had just became a grandmother three years earlier. She loved roses and kept a meticulous home. She was very proud to be a military wife to her husband of 22 years and a mother of three children. She loved to sing in a choir at church. She relaxed often listening music and rocking in her chair. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.

Other than her parents, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, James "Jim" Krauel of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Emilee Krauel, son, Ryan L. Schoenbeck-Krauel (Holly) and Aaron B. Schoenbeck-Krauel all of Phenix City, AL, sister, Mary Gamble (Michael) of Central Point, OR, brothers, Mark Hunt (Tracy) of Oakview, CA, Steven Hunt (Sarah) of Arcadia, CA, David Hunt (Vicki) of Ojai, CA, Richard Hunt of Ventura, CA and Henry Hunt, Schoenbeck, IV (Shasona) of Scotts Valley, CA, grandson, Kolbie Schoenbeck-Krauel, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project www.woundedwarriorproject.com.
