Julia Ellen Tubbs, 71, of Columbus, GA, joined her husband in heaven on February 18, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2015 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Chaplain Prather Powell officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Tubbs was born January 26, 1944 in Barbour County, Alabama, daughter of the late Howell Mixon Missildine and Ellie Mae Danner Missildine. She worked for St. Francis Hospital for 35 years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Richard Allen Tubbs.
She is survived by her children, Kaye Wright and her husband Terry, Rex McCormick and his wife Ruth Ann, Melony Whitlock and her husband James, Debrah Downs, Margie Collins and her husband Joe, and Ralph McCormick; sister, Jackie McCormick; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 8301 Franciscan Woods Drive Columbus, GA 31909.
