Julia S. Dean, 90, of Phenix City, AL died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3641 Norris Road, Columbus, GA with Pastor Marty Wynn officiating, according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Dean was born July 10, 1921 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late Joe Smith and Ruby Niblett Smith. She was a paper carrier for the Columbus Ledger Enquirer for over 20 years. She was also a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond F. Dean; brothers, Ellis Smith and Billy Smith and sister, Reba Gadd.
Survivors include her sons, Donnie Tarvin (Sheryl) and Joseph Singletary (Patricia) all of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Robert Tarvin and Kyle Singletary; great grandchildren, Alaiyna Tarvin, Zachary Tarvin, Alissa Tarvin, Matthew Tarvin, Cheyenne Tarvin and Ayla Singletary and several nieces and nephews.
