Mrs. Julia Jackson Bunting, 79, of Columbus, Georgia died Thursday, March 19, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.

Mrs. Bunting was born December 12, 1940 in Pensacola, FL. daughter of the late Tom Rex and Lillian Stella Overstreet Jackson. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and retired after 30 years as a teacher with the Muscogee County School District. Mrs. Bunting was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and loved spending time with he children and grandchildren. Additionally, Mrs. Bunting enjoyed art, music, painting and opera.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Bunting was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Lynn Bedgood, brothers, Tommy (Coach) Jackson and JoAnne Middlebrooks.
Survivors include her children, Cathy Wilson, Bill Bunting and Stella Lindsey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber, Amy, Andy, Sonny, Christy, David, Ashley, Brandon, William, Ryan And Jessica and several great-grandchildren.
