Judith Robinson Mitchell

Judith Robinson Mitchell, 84, of Columbus died Tuesday, May 4, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2020 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Brett Maddocks officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the Cemetery. Those unable to attend may view the services on Facebook live at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mrs. Mitchell was born August 25, 1935 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Radford Augustus and Edna Rice Robinson. She was a graduate of Columbus High School and attended Mary Baldwin College and Auburn University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Phi. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, was a former President of the St. Francis Auxiliary in 1978-1979, and Co-Chaired the Heritage Ball in 1975. Mrs. Mitchell had a love for gardening, and her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were the love of her life and she will be greatly missed by all.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Frederick William Mitchell, Jr., infant son, Fredrick William Mitchell, III and her daughter-in-law, Julie Crowder Mitchell.
Survivors include her sons, Frederick Robinson Mitchell, Sr. of Columbus, Ga., William Scott Mitchell of Opelika, Al., daughter, Susan Mitchell Cross of Atlanta, Ga., grandchildren, Mary Jane Bowden (Brady) of Phenix City, Al., Frederick "Rad" Mitchell, Jr. of Columbus, Ga., William Dolan Mitchell of Columbus, Ga., Allen Mitchell Hale Cross of Denton, Tx., Spencer Augustus Cross of Portland, Maine and Preston Flanagan Cross of Nashville, Tn.
