Juanna Ellissa Medley

Juanna Ellissa Medley, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on November 18, 2023, in Columbus, GA, at the age of 65, following a brave battle with end-stage liver failure. Born in Phenix City, AL, on August 30, 1958, to Vernon Medley and Virginia Watford Medley Day who both preceded her in death.

Juanna was an alumni of both Carver and Spencer High Schools. She furthered her education by obtaining a cosmetology license.

Her working life was spent ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests at several condominiums in Panama City Beach, Florida, where she worked in housekeeping until her retirement. Juanna's dedication, hard work, and attention to detail earned her the respect and admiration of both her colleagues and the many guests she served.

Juanna was the mother to two daughters, Ellissa Michele Jordan and Dana Marie Jordan, who were the light of her life. Her love extended to her twin sisters, Glenda Faye George and Brenda Kay Wells. Glenda's husband, Franklin Joseph "Joey" George, and Brenda's husband, John Thomas Wells, Sr., were also cherished members of Juanna's family. She was a doting aunt to her nephew, John Thomas Wells, Jr., and her nieces, Nicol Leigh Wells and Lindsay Brooke Oliver (Andrew Blake). Juanna also had the joy of being a great-aunt to Jaxon Blake Oliver, Lindsay's son.

Despite the challenges she faced in her life, Juanna remained resilient, maintaining a positive attitude that was an inspiration to all who knew her. She had hope and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Juanna Ellissa Medley's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family are a testament to the remarkable woman she was. While she may be gone from this world, the impact she made during her time here will never be forgotten.
