Juanita Benton Harrington, 82, of Phenix City, AL died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Jack Hughston Hospital in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 1, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL 36867.
Mrs. Harrington was born June 7, 1930 in Langley, S.C. daughter of the late Julian P. Benton, Sr. and Jennie May Kinsey Benton. She retired after 31 years as a secretary for the Columbus Carpet Mill. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Freedom Worship Center.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James B. Harrington, Sr. of Phenix City, AL, sons, James B. Harrington, Jr. (Valerie) of Smiths Station, AL and Jerry H. Harrington, Sr. (Mary) of Seale, AL, sisters, Jacqueline Tortorich (Frank) of Baton Rouge, LA and Jeanette Hadley of Phenix City, AL, brothers, Julian P.
