Joyce Mae Kendrick Stanley, 82 of Snellville, GA died Friday, August 9, 2013 at Tower Road Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, GA.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rodney Porter officiating. A private entombment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Joyce was born February 10, 1931 in Newnan, Georgia daughter of the late Homer Lee Kendrick and Lena Mae Ellard Kendrick. She retired in 1991 from Columbus State University as a Graphics Art Designer. She was a member of Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Joyce Stanley of Snellville, GA; granddaughter Yvette West of Lawrenceville, GA; great grandchildren, Lindsey Joyce Janzen and husband, Michael and Christian R. Harris both of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Sara K. Wood of Columbia, SC; brothers, Bobby J. Kendrick and wife, Helen of Greenville, GA and Barge L. Kendrick of Anchorage, AK, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Joyce.
