Joyce "Joy" Marie Cacia

Joyce "Joy" Marie Cacia 71, of Columbus, Ga. died Monday at St. Francis Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, November 02, 2019 at St. Anne Catholic Church 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, Ga. 31907. The family will receive friends following the services at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Joy was born August 27, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Patricia Craig Jakubowski. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women and enjoyed volunteering at St. Anne's. She worked for many years at Double Churches Elementary and St. Anne- Pacelli Catholic School. While teaching at Pacelli, Joy helped coach softball and cheerleading. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her family.
Other than her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her brother Martin and grandchild Trinity Chambliss.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Louis G. Cacia of Columbus, daughters, Heidi Chambliss (Timothy) of Macon, GA., Laurie Cobb (Jeffery) of Clarksville, TN., Lisa Cacia of Smith Station, AL., Melissa Cacia Alley of Columbus, GA., son, Chip Cacia (Celeste) of Columbus, GA., sisters, Jill, Jane, and Judy, brothers, Joseph, Mark, Myles, Matthew and Patrick, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
