Joy Fripp Canady, 88, of Columbus, GA died Friday, September 9, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 12, 2022 in the Chapel at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Troy Fripp officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Joy was born April 5, 1934 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Claude Francis Fripp and Ruth Lynch Leary Fripp. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lawrence Alban Canady; 2 brothers, 1 sister; and her grandson Joshua Canady.
Survivors include her children, Linda Canady Motley of Columbus, GA, Pamela Canady Martin (John) of Ellaville, GA, Duane Lawrence Canady of Salem, AL, Justin Wayne Canady of Smith Station, AL, Holly Canady Miller (Dustin) of Smith Station, AL; grandchildren, Shane Carter, Robert Carter, Eric Moore, Craig Moore, Nash Canady, Destin Canady, Evan Motley, Lacy Canady Seda, Jaime Meredith, Caleb Stewart, Raelyn Miller; and numerous great grandchildren.
