Joseph "Joe" Warn Burris Iii

Joseph Warn Burris III (Joe) of Fortson, GA., passed away April 14, 2021, after a brief illness.

Joe was a 1968 graduate of Baker High School and served in the US Air Force. After leaving the service in 1979 as a SSGT, he lived and worked in California, coming back to Fortson in 2018 when he retired.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, JW Burris Jr., his beloved mother, Caroline A. Burris, and his nephew, Scott A. Collins.

Joe leaves behind two sisters, Beverly (Howard) Webb of Fortson, GA. and Donna (Thomas) Brown of Clarksville, TN.; three nephews, Kenneth (Tamara) Webb of Cataula, GA., Taavi Yusuf (Kevin Anderson) of Phoenix City, AL., and Jason (Brandi) Collins of Ingleside, TX., and several great nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.

Joe will be missed by all those who loved and knew him.
