Joseph Allen Stewart, 73, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Priest Grace officiating.
Joseph was born October 20, 1949 in Paris, IL to the late Herman Joseph Stewart and Marjorie Fitzgerald. He worked at a Nuclear Power Operator and instructor at Niagra Mohawk. He was a Past Master Hiram Masonic Lodge # 144 Fulton, NY. He loved to read especially history books, loved his grandchildren and fishing with them. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Louis Stewart, Jerry Stewart, sister, Marquerite Bladorn.
He is survived by his wife, Rolene Stewart of Columbus, GA, son, Jeffery Stewart (Tara) of Waco, TX, daughters, Jennifer Collins (Steven) of Hastings, NY, Jolene Fondrk of Columbus, GA, brothers, Robert Stewart (Deborah) of Stockbridge, GA, Charles Stewart (Kathy) of Braidwood, IL, sisters, Kathleen Fisketjon (Greg) of Berthoud, IL , Betty Jo Kelley (Timothy) of Joliet, IL, Florence Olmsted (Rich) of Dunlap, IL, grandchildren, Courtney Collins, Elizabeth Collins, Mackenzie Stewart, Colin Stewart, Ella Fondrk.
