Johnny Martin Meredith, 64 of Phenix City, AL died Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Danner officiating. A private interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Meredith was born November 18, 1948 in Columbus, GA son of Frances Jenkins Meredith of Phenix City, AL and the late William E. Meredith. He was a machine operator for Sunshine Biscuit Company and attended First Assembly of God Church in Phenix City. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and tinkering with things. He also enjoyed playing his guitar.
Survivors other than his mother include his wife Rita W. Meredith of Phenix City, AL; children, Lisa Burditt (James) of Fortson, GA, Michael Meredith (Joy) of Millbrook, AL and Amanda Cox (Keith) of Smiths Station, AL; six grandchildren, Jay and Lacey Burditt, Deanna and Jennifer Meredith, Montgomery and Makala Meredith and great grandchild, Kolton Burditt.
