Mrs. Ashworth was born January 23, 1937 in Taylor, Alabama, daughter of the late Moody Cook and Edna Ward Cook. Johnnie Ruth was a joy to be around. She always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. She loved the Lord and lived her life as a witness of that love. God blessed her with the gift of music and she used every opportunity to sing her praises unto His name.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Cook.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Charles Ashworth; daughters, Dawn Fullerton (Steven) and Marna Nollen (Larry); grandson, Chris Fullerton (Suzanne); granddaughters, Stefani Legnetto (Nate), Deavon Howell (Tommy) and Samantha Nollen; six great grandchildren; sister, Guscille Montford; and brother, Gary Cook (Indiana).
What a blessed wife, mother, and MawMaw. While our lives will never be the same without her, we will celebrate her life with our memories, many pictures, stories, and deep love and respect.
