John "J.B." Byron Singletary

John Byron Singletary, (J.B.), 84 of Midland passed September 2, 2024, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

A celebration of life will be held at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on September 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation for family to begin at 9:00 a.m. and friends at 10:00 a.m.

John was born January 13, 1940, in Many, LA to the late Loyd Singletary and Pearl Barron Singletary. After serving in the United States Army his career turned to offshore oil rigs where he would spend weeks & months at a time away from his family. He later spent his time employed at J.B. Labs in Holland, MI. J.B. was married to the love of his life, Carolyn, for 58 years. He loved Jesus and his family with a fierce love. J.B. attended Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, GA. He never met a stranger, and his love of people shone through his eyes. His last audible words heard by his daughter were Halleluiah.

Other than his parents John was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Wyatt, sister, Marjorie Kramer and his brothers, Melvin Singletary and Willard Singletary.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Sue Singletary of Midland, GA, son: Randy Singletary (Heather) of Holland, MI, daughter: Penny Svenson (Todd, CSM retd.) of Midland, GA, sisters: Alice Singletary Tibi of Centerville, OH and Joyce Singletary Everett of DeRidder, LA,eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
