John Trois Wyrosdick, 93, of Columbus, GA died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Muscogee Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Helms officiating. A private interment will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Wyrosdick was born January 28, 1919 in Elba, AL son of the late Joseph W. and Myrtle Hudson Wyrosdick. He retired after 43 years as a welder for Lummus Cotton Gin. For the past 57 years, he was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Augusta Evans Chapter, Scottish Rite, and the Midland Masonic Lodge 144.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Alice Lenora Moody Wyrosdick of Columbus, GA, daughter, Ginga Waldrop (David) of Midland, GA, son, Allen Wyrosdick (Pam) of Valley, AL, two brothers, Wendall Wyrosdick of Ponce de Leon, FL and Pete Wyrosdick of Westville, FL, five grandchildren, Shelly, Dawn, Shana, Andrew and Austin, and seven great grandchildren.
