John Hollon Turvin, 63, of Phenix City, AL died Monday, December 21, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 24, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Turvin was born July 7, 1946 in Coffee County, AL son of the late Nix Turvin and Mae Renfroe Reid. He was employed for seven years with Shaw Industries as a project coordinator inspector.
Survivors include his three sisters, Ann Wangle (Bob) of Columbus, GA, Jeanette Velez (Tony) of Columbus, GA and Karen Mohler (Gregg) of Columbus, GA, nephews, Jim Grundy (Marie) of Columbus, GA and Carl Serda (Jessica) of Columbus, GA, nieces, Vicki Harris (Mitch) of Winterhaven, FL and Nicky Haney of Columbus, GA, and several cousins and friends.
