Ret. E-7 John Francis Shull, 75, of Columbus, Georgia, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Stephanie Boez officiating. A private burial will be held in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Shull was born November 2, 1943 in Denver, Colorado son of the late Joseph William and Mary Margaret Crump Shull. He graduated from Huntington Park High School and later received an associate's degree from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. John was married to Margaret Shull on the 17th of December, 1966; they were married for 52 years. John served in the United States Army for 21 years which included a combat tour in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.
Mr. Shull is survived by his beloved wife Margaret, brother Joe, daughter Pamela, son John, and his grandchildren Alex and Miles.
